The International Training Chef will provide a world-class food and beverage support function to all partners, internal teams and deliver world class food culture and training within the restaurant group, promoting Jamie and his food standards. The Training Chef supports our partners and our business to deliver back of house operations including food, menus, food safety processes and training in all JOR concepts. They will specifically; Support the Executive Chef with the maintaining and updating the back of house training structure and ensuring all training materials are up to date and relevant across all Brands. Confidently deliver high levels of culinary training across our international estate. Be the key back of house troubleshooter for focus and problematic sites, improving food quality and training at site level. Use their experience and expertise to coach partners to proactively solve problems. Provide operational back of house solutions and excellence across the International estate to drive quality. Support the Executive Chef with new International restaurant openings delivering a high level of support, guidance and training as necessary Focus primarily on food quality, brand standards and ensuring fully trained, motivated staff. Support the Executive Chef & Operations Managers across all Food and Beverage projects, putting in place the internal critical path and engaging with external/internal stakeholders to ensure their timelines are met. Work across a number of international territories across the full portfolio of brands to deliver commercial savings for partners and provide solutions on all Food and Beverage matters. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Experience of multi site management across a variety of Food and Beverage operations Professional experience working in a kitchen at a minimum of Sous Chef level Strong understanding of site level COGs and the levers that can be pulled to deliver profitability. Wide-ranging experience of international restaurant openings, Quick Service Restaurants and Full-Service experience. Experience in menu engineering focusing on labour/cross utilisation/SKU management. An initiative to adapt to working in different cultures globally HOW YOU’LL DO IT Ability to build credible relationships quickly in a kitchen environment to lead effective training and openings. Have creative flair and problem solving capability. An organised and systematic approach with lots of self motivation, initiative, and a strong work ethic. Clear communication skills. Champion Jamie’s food beliefs, including abiding by the Jamie Oliver Food and Nutrition Standards. Approach your work with a commercial view and understanding.
