We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent – want to join the ride?   We are now looking for an Automation & Propulsion Service Engineer to join our team.
The preferred location for the position is in Diano d’Alba, Italy.
What will you be doing     As Automation & Propulsion Engineer Service Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities.
Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan.
Perform tests and commissioning of Software and Controls of Automation System and Propulsion.
Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops.
Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
Create the Service Work Reports.
Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines, site procedures and policies.
Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customer and/or internal stakeholders.
Continuously seek for solutions in according to best practises.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have.
A safety-first mind-set.
You are passionate about Electronics and Automation Systems.
Highly effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
Interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during the work execution.
Bachelor's degree is Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or High School Diploma in Electronics with previous experience.
Basic knowledge of Software programming.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
Fluent in English with relevant additional language skills beneficial.
You will be located in Italy and be able and willing to travel frequently.
Driving license.
This position requires a % travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations.
The role demands adaptability to varying travel demands, with an expectation of extended periods away from the primary work location.
Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfil these travel obligations as an integral aspect of the position's responsibilities.
