With particular reference to the UK market, NHOA has been awarded with supply, commissioning and O&M contracts for 130 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in England and another supply, commissioning and O&M contract for a 113 MWh BESS in Scotland. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and actively contributing to safe operation and ongoing maintenance of the facilities, to ensure availability and performance of the system, playing a key role in designing, crafting and implementing a world class after sales service at NHOA. Reporting directly to the Head of Service EMEA, you will oversee and perform the O&M activities with a truly customer centric and results driven approach, supporting our client for the projects located in Basildon, Essex and Loudwater, Buckinghamshire in England and Coylton, East Ayrshire in Scotland. Considering the increasing business of NHOA in the United Kingdom, other projects may be considered additionally in the future years. Task and Duties: -Supervise and monitor NHOA Energy BESS plants to guarantee the full operation of the systems and to maximize its performances. -Manage, execute, and monitor operation and maintenance activities (preventive, corrective or reactive), including the management of spare parts and consumables (on site or close to the site, in agreement with the contractual requirements). -Perform as required the scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance activities on site, including both electrical and minor mechanical work, in accordance with the internal and external regulations, relevant standards, and codes of practice. -Where applicable, coordinate third-party O&M contractors and/or NHOA Energy suppliers in executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on site, both electrical and minor mechanical work, in accordance with internal and external regulations, relevant standards, and codes of practice and monitoring compliance with Division of Responsibilities agreed between NHOA Energy and other party. -Coordinate and prepare all maintenance related document such as Service Plans, Reports, Procedures, Resources, Tools and Instrument. -Responsible for documenting all work (accurate and up to date) carried out in relation to preventive and corrective maintenance, remediation, repairs, performance, in accordance with company/Client guidelines. -Keep updated spare parts and consumables available on site, tracking any equipment used and being responsible for pointing out replenishment needs. -Ensure Customer Maintenance System is updated with the latest information following any on-site event / activity (if applicable). -Support the Headquarter team in performing troubleshooting activities through plant HMI, data analysis and PLC code debug. -Participation in training courses on specialized topics, locally or overseas as required. -Support the commissioning team on-site as may be required before the Commercial Operation Date. -On-site and remote support to the customer in terms of quick response in case of failure/fault on any components/assets to restore system functionalities in the shortest time possible. -Answer via e-mail and/or phone to any technical inquiries escalated by the Client. -Flexibility to be available on call when required. -Maintaining knowledge and understanding of the latest UK Standards relating to Battery Energy Storage System. -Manage the relations with costumer: cooperation, coordination, communication, notification. -Act as first interface towards the Client for any request of claim and/or variation order, supporting the Head of Service EMEA and collaborating with the Headquarter team in performing a first level analysis of the request, identifying the main mitigation / remedy actions needed and addressing potential further detailed analyses to the relevant NHOA team. -Support the Head of Service EMEA in verifying compliance with contractual obligations and monitoring project budget. -Actively contribute to the improvement of the Service processes and procedures by providing "from the field" feedback. Your Background: -University or trade qualified (electrical / electronic or similar) -A minimum of 4 years’ experience as Site Manager/Electrical Supervisor/Electrical Maintenance Superintendent or Technician -Proven and executed track record in effective health and safety management on site. -Familiarity with SAP PM or similar CMMS Your Skills: -Experience in effective planning, scheduling, management of personnel, subcontractors, resources. -Experience in Energy industry. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. -Fast learning (also “training on-the-job”) on the functionality and critical issues of a product/system. -Previous experience on field in Power Conversion Systems and Battery Storage is desirable. -Knowledge of Siemens PLC’s and HMI’s and Scada Systems is desirable. -Excellent fault-finding skills -Ability to work in a team with a proactive mindset -Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Location: -England (preferably London area). -In accordance with actual project needs, travel up to 50%of the time might be required.
