HEAD OF VIDEO PRODUCTION

We are looking for an experienced Head of Production to lead and oversee the Video Production Unit within dentsu creative.

This role requires a highly skilled production expert with the ability to manage a team of producers, editors, and videomakers, while also handling both in-house productions and collaborations with external production houses.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring top-tier production standards, managing the unit’s revenues, and working closely with the Creative Leadership to deliver high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities.
Lead and manage the Video Production Unit, overseeing an internal team of producers, editors, and videomakers.
Supervise and execute productions of varying scales, ensuring seamless end-to-end project management.
Act as an executive producer, selecting and managing external production houses when necessary, in close coordination with the Creative Direction.
Take full responsibility for the unit’s revenue growth and resource management.
Ensure that all video productions maintain high creative and technical standards, aligning with the agency’s strategic vision.
Collaborate with the Creative Leadership to translate ideas into premium-quality video content.
Report directly to the SVP Business, providing insights on production workflows, budget allocation, and team performance.
Requirements.
Extensive experience in video production, with a deep understanding of both in-house and external agencyproduction models.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and drive performance.
Proven track record of handling high-end productions, from concept to final delivery.
Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of production responsibilities.
Strong network of industry contacts, including production companies, freelancers, and key players in the creative field.
In-depth knowledge of agency workflows, production budgeting, and vendor management.
Preferred Qualifications.
6-7 years of previous experience in both traditional and digital-first content production.
Proven experience in collaborating with production houses while working within an agency.
Prior experience working in a production company (CDP), with hands-on expertise in production workflows.
Familiarity with the latest video technologies, post-production software, and industry trends.
