Position Summary Sit-down forklift operator will use forklift to transport raw materials & finished goods between the warehouse & production areas, use an RF scanning device to scan goods and properly maintain inventory records, and load finished goods onto trailers to ship out to customers.
Essential Functions • Inspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure           timely and complete delivery.
• Move controls to drive electric-powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Perform routine pre and post op inspection on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
• Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
• Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
• Identify damage and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Make and correct issues with counts on components in inventory.
• Fill and replenish racks in pick area to support production • Rotate stock according to date coding (FIFO).
• Returning components from work orders while complying with safety rules.
• Staging components for work orders, while complying with safety rules.
• Operating RF equipment effectively.
supplying components for different departments as needed, moving inventory through stock, following all FIFO requirements.
• Other miscellaneous duties that occur under Warehouse maintenance and sustainability (e.
.
cleaning, upkeep, etc).
• Follow all EPC Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines, including extracting raw, FG, and component samples meeting SOP and Quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience • Previous experience operating Sit-Down Forklift • Minimum one year of previous experience in a distribution and or Manufacturing center, including receiving, pulling    orders, packing and shipping preferred.
• Forklift Operator certified.
• Current Driver’s License required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and be detail oriented.
• Ability and willingness to work closely with others and departments.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate properly.
• Basic computer skills.
