FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

An ideal candidate will travel to install the machines, train our customers, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical support to customers in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about machinery and mechanics and are ready to join our team of technicians. Field Service Technician Responsibilities Perform machine installation, preventive maintenance, and training at the customer site. Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer/equipment issues. When not travelling, provide technical remote support to customers. Maintain a high degree of professional customer service for all customer interactions. Education and Skills Associate degree, certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation/Automotive. High school diploma and 2 years minimum experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation/Automotive. Travelling up to 70% of the time by flight or by car (for international travel passport is required). Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic components and power tools in CNC industry Ability to learn and understand mechatronics systems. ASE certification and experience with ISO 9001. Preferred but not required. Competence in MS Office suite. Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to collaborate effectively with people. Self-driven with ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and working under various distractions and constraints. Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements Requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking, and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding, and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 10 pounds, recurrent lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds and occasional pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Must be able to perform detailed work and operate mobile equipment. Must possess good visual and color acuity. About The Role Our Field Service Technicians travel across North America to install equipment, train customers, perform Preventive Maintenance, and provide technical assistance for our customers. Working independently and with great team support. Our Field Service Technicians are the primary link between MEI and our customers and are critical to obtaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
