Digital ESG & Sustainability Business Development Manager - Certification Posting Date: 18 Oct 2024 Location: Rozzano, IT, 20089 Contract Type: Permanent Division: Italy Certification Commercial Management Level of experience: Senior RINA is currently recruiting for a Digital ESG & Sustainability Business Development Manager - Certification to join its office in Milan, Italy within the Italy Certification Commercial Management Division. Mission The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in expanding RINA's digital assurance services by combining expertise in the digital and AI landscape with the certification industry. This role requires a passionate individual who is enthusiastic about digital technology, possesses a strong curiosity, and believes in continuous learning and innovation. A significant focus of our digital solutions is on ESG and sustainability applications, making knowledge of these pillars a crucial requirement for this position. Key Accountabilities Develop and implement business development strategies to expand RINA's digital assurance offerings. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the digital technology sector, focusing on AI, blockchain, IoT, and real-time data streams. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering consulting and certification departments, to create and promote cutting-edge digital assurance solutions. Engage with clients and stakeholders across various industries and geographical regions to build strong, lasting relationships. Update the pipeline with new prospects to be followed up. Support contract closing activities. Support the development of cross-selling and mutual opportunities. Monitor competitors' activity and provide updates on competitor news and intelligence. Work with more experienced Business Development Managers to identify potential customer acquisition opportunities. Contribute to customer satisfaction and retention. Develop new markets. Provide support on contracts, tenders, and quotations. Represent RINA at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance our market presence. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting digital assurance and certification. Education Bachelor’s Degree Master’s Degree in Engineering General or Mathematics Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in promoting or developing digital solutions (B2B). Strong passion for digital technology and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation. In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, including AI, blockchain, IoT, and data analytics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from over 70 different nationalities. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects. Experience in writing, appraising, and negotiating detailed contracts and commercial agreements is a bonus. High degree of flexibility and capability to handle various tasks in parallel, including prioritization. Self-motivated, proactive, and open-minded personality. Outstanding team player and ability to work with distributed international teams, but also ability to manage work independently. Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and goals. Adaptability and willingness to learn about new industries or markets. Familiarity with CRM software and other relevant tools for managing client relationships and sales pipelines. Understanding of legal and contractual matters related to business agreements.
