TRAINEE IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY FINANCE

Eurac Research is looking for a motivated trainee with a background in economics/finance and energy to join the URS Group.
This position will support project activities related to financial economics, energy financing schemes for investments in renewables and energy efficiency, as well as contribute to cutting edge research on the empirical analysis of energy markets.
The successful candidate will be involved in international projects focusing on energy investments for financial institutions and innovative financing schemes for local and regional authorities.
This is a unique opportunity to receive mentorship from leading researchers and collaborate on international research and industry projects Tasks.
Assist in analysing the performance and economic viability of investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
Identify and map innovative financing solutions for deep renovation projects of buildings.
Assist in defining key financial indicators (ROI, IRR, etc.) to develop a tool that supports financial institutions in selecting optimal financing schemes for deep renovation of buildings.
Conduct basic financial analysis and contribute to developing recommendations for sustainable energy actions.
Requirements.
Background in economics/finance and energy.
Previous experience with financial analysis and evaluation of investments in renewable projects is desirable.
Good skills in data analysis and empirical research, with proficiency in Python, R, or similar tools.
Familiarity with renewable energy markets and innovative financing mechanisms.
Very good oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Italian and/or German is an advantage.
Strong teamwork abilities, interpersonal relationships and capacity for autonomous work.
