In this role you will be required to plan and schedule demand, capacity, utilization, and priorities across multiple teams. To be successful as a Engineering Manager, you should have excellent leadership skills. Note: Previous experience as a Data Engineer is mandatory for this role. RAL : €77-92K Responsibilities and capabilities: Teams Management : Mentors multiple teams; Master leadership and communication skills; Sets clear expectations for team members; solicits, synthesizes and delivers feedback; Define, write and communicate processes for its teams; Contributes to the career development of others; Create new leaders, creating long-term plans for its teams; Able to lead recruiting efforts and determine headcount for their teams; Care about the efficiency of the company, introducing new practices , processes and standards; Communicates timeline, scope and technical concerns to the teams; Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus. Always solving conflicts. Technical and delivery skills: Makes active efforts to stay up-to-date with technologies; Support the technical design of complex systems; Delivers complex systems; Proactively Identifies problems with requirements and project plan; Research and propose new technologies; Consistently influence technical and business roadmap of services/products/projects; Ensures team software is High Quality; Produces quality metrics on the SDLC process; Make difficult decisions in a timely and effective manner; Partners effectively with product/customer to manage scope and deliverables for the technical side of the product/project roadmap; Able to significantly impact pre-sales activities across several topics; Leads delivery of major initiatives on clear timelines. Stakeholder management: When is proposing something, at any level, is doing it in written form and providing the proper context; Produces quality metrics on stakeholder satisfaction; Pro-actively detect stakeholder dissatisfaction with effective comprehension of the situation and steering actions; Proactively report relevant outputs and outcomes to the stakeholders, in written form and with proper context; Able to identify areas of strategic technical debt and provide cost/benefit analysis for eliminating this debt and suggested timelines for how to prioritize it; Able to identify potential up-sell opportunities on existing customers and to communicate with sales department; Able to build trustworthy relationships with stakeholders. ️ Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science; 10+ years of experience and at least some past experience in the specific role; In-depth knowledge of Data Management practices; In-depth knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle; Excellent project management skills; Excellent communication skills; Proactivity; Business and functional understanding and interest; Team Player; Leadership capabilities.
