RESIDENT ENGINE FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE MILITARY AIRCRAFT/HELICOPTER ENGINES-NORTHERN ITALY (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)

Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.
We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
Within the Military Customer Support Organization, as Field Service Representative (FSR) you will be located at Customer’s airbase for a period according to contract conditions between Customer and Avio Aero.
This role will require your permanent presence at Customer’s military base supporting the customer, providing technical and logistic support to the engine fleet installed on the aircraft/helicopters.
Job Description Esse ntial Responsibilities The FSR is a technician/engineer with a proven experience on engine maintenance.
His/Her task is to provide the military customer with a high-level technical assistance regarding the operation of the power plant.
In detail, the FSR tasks are the following.
manage, as primary interface, any concerns and technical evidences arising from maintenance activities on engines at Customer; lead and ensure the effective exchange of information between the Customer and Avio Aero, in particular with the System Engineer, Program Manager and Fleet Manager, concerning the management of the engine program; Liaise with Customer operational department to ensure timely and effective response to technical issues; with the support of the System Engineer, he/she is accountable for problem identification and solutions to support the military customer in the decision whether to remove an engine from service, after evaluating all possible troubleshooting operations in order to solve the problem "on-field”; support and arrange shipping and receiving of engines, accessories and engine parts to and from Company sites; ensure monitoring, recording and updating of the availability and the status of the engine fleet; accountable to support military customer in planning the maintenance inspections; lead the support to military customer on interpretation and application of technical publications and Service Bulletins/PTAs (Prescrizione Tecnica Applicativa), advice on engine operability, assistance in solving the problems that may arise during training, maintenance or operational activities; support military customer on PTAs embodiment, updating of the engine configuration related to the activities accomplished at the Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance Levels; liaise with the Fleet Manager on the availability of engine parts and accessories at the customer warehouse, to support the Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance Levels activity at the Customer site and Depot Level Maintenance at the Avio Avio plant; support the military customer in updating the technical documentation (Engine Log Book, Accessories Log Card, SBs/PTAs, Compliance Status, etc.); ensure support on the management and use of the engine Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) as prescribed by the applicable Technical Publications; manage, coordinate and arrange any Avio Aero technical intervention for schedule and unschedule maintenance activities; liaise with the military customer in coordination with Avio Aero the service data collection for engine and life limited parts; Autonomously execute, as necessary, maintenance operations tasks and make valuations of the collected results iaw technical manual; Act as a Certifying Staff related to engine maintenance activities.
Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a technical high school diploma with previous solid experience in similar role; knowledge of military engines (turbojet, turboshaft and turboprop), accessories, installations, control and monitoring systems as well as interfaces with airframe; Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical scheme of complex equipment; Knowledge of configuration control rules, processes and procedures; Knowledge of Engine Logbook for consultation and analysis of Engine and Engine Parts data; Ability to read and understand Nomenclature Catalogues, engine Technical Publications, regulations and applicable procedures (maintenance manuals, parts catalog, calibration procedures) as well as Change Proposal, Technical disposition and Repair Schemes/Instruction; Ability to evaluate area of improvement of existing maintenance procedures; Proficiency in written and spoken Italian and English; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; EU work permit; Strong Customer mindset; Eligible for NATO Security Clearance; Strong MS Office knowledge; Holder of EMAR66 / AER(EP).
-66 MILITARY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LICENCE (B1/C) or EASA equivalent.
Desired Characteristics Knowledge and maintenance experience on the following propulsion systems is a plus.
EJ200/RB199 turbojet, T700/CT7 turboshaft and AED turboprop.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Prior experience working in the military environment.
Leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact; Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously; Knowledge of bespoke Customer IT systems and tools.
