The Position: AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Real Estate & Commercial Specialist II who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. The Real Estate & Commercial Specialist II will: Be responsible for independently monitoring delinquency and performance of the real estate portfolio. Reports and complies with all secondary market procedures regarding loss mitigation, collections, and foreclosures through the online secondary market system. Coordinates with appropriate lending teams to ensure appropriate changes are made to the primary lending systems. This role involves sending out state-required notices, coordinating inspections and maintenance, and securing and maintaining properties as necessary, while providing mentorship to junior staff. What you will do: As a Real Estate & Commercial Specialist II your primary responsibilities will include: Monitor delinquency and performance of the real estate portfolio. Contact consumer and commercial members as needed to determine the reason for delinquency and offer solutions to their financial difficulties. Ability to deliver difficult messages while maintaining a sense of understanding to the member’s situation or hardship. Collaborates with mortgage servicing company in the effective management of real estate loans which includes portfolio and secondary market conforming loans. Assists commercial and consumer real estate borrowers with restructuring and modifications to improve the financial position of the borrower(s) and soundness of Credit Union's position. Send out all state-required notices to members regarding their real estate loans. Ensure notices are sent in a timely and compliant manner. Coordinate inspections of properties as required. Assist in coordinating maintenance and repairs, along with securing and maintaining properties as necessary. Approve expenses within authority. Request and coordinate services such as appraisals and title reports for Loss Mitigation options and as required. Assist with preparation of legal requests to commence foreclosure and coordinate proceedings with Legal Counsel. Maintain accurate records of property conditions and maintenance activities. Obtain repair estimates for properties. Make recommendations, approval and coordinate the necessary repairs. Work with realtor on marketing of REO properties. Ensure all asset recovery procedures are adhered to in order to comply with federal and state regulations. Come grow with us!
