No Offer Description The goal of the project is the development and implementation of data-driven methods for predictive maintenance (anomaly detection, anomaly anticipation, Remaining Useful Life estimation, etc.) for rotating components in production equipment and machinery used for oil extraction. The focus of the research will revolve around machine learning and deep learning approaches, which will be built using extensive historical data coming from the industrial systems. Additionally, a comparative study with existing baselines from the statistical learning area will be conducted. Part of the activity will involve exploring already existing research items and solutions that could be exploited. In addition to existing approaches, novel techniques will be explored. All of this will require the candidate to work both on research aspects and on more implementation-related issues. The research activity will also involve collaboration with partners from academia and the industry.
