ur LHCb group in Milano-Bicocca is composed of 7 staff members, 5 postdocs and 5 PhD students.
Our group is involved in various analyses of flavour-changing transitions using data from the LHCb experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider.
We contribute to the analysis working groups of semileptonics, charm and rare decays.
Additionally, we contribute to the development of software and hardware required to operate the detector at higher luminosity.
We are directly involved in the R&D for the upgrades of the RICH and ECAL subdetectors and in trigger developments based on edge ML techniques.
On the infrastructure side, we have two servers equipped with state-of-the-art GPUs (Nvidia A100 and A) and an array of 8 FPGAs will be installed by the end of and will be initially used for RETINA developments (testing the infrastructure for downstream tracking in Run 4).
