Job Description - Post-doctoral Fellowship on the development of x-ray imager (2400007Z) Commitment & contract: Collaboration contract Location: Center for Nano Science and Technology, Milano ABOUT US At IIT we work enthusiastically to develop human-centered Science and Technology to tackle some of the most pressing societal challenges of our times and transfer these technologies to the production system and society. Our Genoa headquarters are strictly interconnected with the other 11 centers around Italy and two outstations based in the US. We promote excellence in basic and applied research such as neuroscience and cognition, humanoid technologies and robotics, nanotechnology, materials for a truly multidisciplinary scientific experience. YOUR TEAM The Advanced Materials for Optoelectronic Research Unit, coordinated by Dr. Annamaria Petrozza, is active in fundamental studies on light harvesting and charge generation processes, charge transport and recombination processes at organic and hybrid interfaces, whilst improving the state-of-the-art device concepts in terms of absolute performance. The team deals with materials synthesis and processing, materials characterization and devices design and testing. AMO is looking for a motivated Postdoc to work on a project that aims at the development of an x-ray imager based on metal halide perovskites. The research activity will be focused on thin film processing, nanofabrication, device fabrication and testing. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering or equivalent Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data Good command in spoken and written English APPRECIATED SKILLS Experience in nano-fabrication, optics, fabrication and testing of optoelectronic devices Strong problem solving attitude High motivation to learn Good in time and priority management Ability to work in a challenging and international environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment COMPENSATION PACKAGE Competitive salary package for international standards Wide range of staff discounts Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who permanently work abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
