PDI SPECIALIST

As a PDI Specialist you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and condition of vehicles throughout the supply chain.
You will collaborate with various Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and compounds to implement monitor and report on predelivery inspections for new arrivals stock vehicles and outbound shipments.
Your work will ensure a timely complete and highquality vehicle flow from our headquarters/factory to dealers and endconsumers.
Youll be part of a dynamic team of logistics and planning professionals committed to delivering excellence and contributing to the companys green vision of sustainable and seamless deliveries.
Responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to.
Planning and Management of PDI.
Overseeing predelivery inspections (PDI) for inbound vehicles stored vehicles and outbound shipments.
This includes detailed checks for exterior and interior damage component functionality and accessory reviews.
Damage Claims and Issue Resolution.
Handling damage claims (both from transportation and external handling) software updates language adjustments and coordinating thirdparty inspections as necessary.
Ensuring timely claim resolutions with LSPs dealers and customers.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement.
Developing and enhancing internal processes to ensure robust quality control and consistent predelivery inspections across all designated ports and compounds in Europe.
Continuously improving PDI procedures for maximum efficiency.
Reporting and Root Cause Analysis.
Creating detailed reports on trends identified during the PDI process conducting root cause analysis and collaborating closely with quality production and engineering teams to resolve issues discovered during the inspections.
Keeping accurate records of new vehicle arrivals and vehicles that have completed the PDI process.
Ensuring all vehicles are ready for delivery by addressing any issues or delays with onhold vehicles.
Cost Control.
Ensuring that the repair costs of damages are aligned with benchmark standards while finding solutions that maximize the balance between cost quality and efficiency.
This includes working closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize costeffective repairs without compromising on quality CrossDepartmental Coordination.
Collaborating with the Delivery Quality Sales and Service teams to integrate specific requirements into the PDI process ensuring a seamless experience for both internal stakeholders and customers.
Relationship Building.
Cultivating strong relationships with Logistics Service Providers to ensure a clear understanding of expectations and priorities related to PDI.
Compliance and Standards Management.
Demonstrating an indepth understanding of internal and external compliance standards for vehicles in the PDI process.
Ensuring noncompliant vehicles are promptly identified and escalated to the appropriate teams.
Travel Requirements.
Expect to travel approximately 50% of the time to oversee operations support teams at different locations and maintain quality assurance across all compounds and ports.
What Were Looking For.
Experience.
24 years of experience in an automotive service or inspection role preferably in a quality control logistics or PDI environment.
Educational Background.
A Bachelors degree or relevant technical certification is a plus with a focus on automotive logistics or engineering fields.
Languages.
Excellent written and spoken skills in Italian and English.
Knowledge of Chinese or other European languages is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills.
Proficiency in using light machinery power tools and Excel for data tracking and reporting.
Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and an ITdriven approach to logistics.
Soft Skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster effective relationships across departments and with various service providers.
High attention to detail problemsolving mindset and stressresilience particularly in highpressure situations.
Mindset.
Innovative proactive and processfocused with a strong interest in continuous improvement and the ability to adapt in dynamic environments A strong sense of responsibility and ownership of tasks ensuring that all processes are carried out to the highest standards and deadlines are met.
Drivers License.
A valid drivers license is required for onsite inspections and travel between compounds and service locations.
