MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT

We are recruiting for a Merchandising Assistant to join our Team! Duties will include providing strong administrative support to the Buying team in all aspects as needed. You will work closely with the Buying team to ensure a smooth on-time delivery of our critical path, as well as working closely with suppliers in the Far East and other internal departments. Key Responsibilities of Merchandising Assistant (including but not limited to): Administration of electronic POs for vendors, quantities and destinations as directed by the Import Merchandiser/ Senior Import Merchandiser Support during Buys to complete sizing of POs and produce order documents Sending out New Purchase Orders to Suppliers Signing off Order Confirmations Support in the maintenance of accurate data in all relevant areas of Navision Provide support to the Import Merchandiser/ Senior Import Merchandiser to review WIP documents and escalate issues as necessary. Update dates in Navision to facilitate regular FTS reviews Regular review of FTS reports and escalation of delays to production. Support Import Merchandiser/ Senior Import Merchandiser to ensure on time delivery in line with our critical path Support Import Merchandiser/ Senior Import Merchandiser to complete seasonal order shipping splits by location in line with the critical path To book in shipments from vendors, raising the transfer and invoice in a timely manner Complete shipping pre-advice to instruct suppliers on required sea and air freight quantities for upcoming shipments To assist Fabric team on fabric booking as required To join us as Merchandising Assistant you must have: Essential Previous experience in an administrative position. Demonstrates drive and resilience and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines Resourceful decision making and the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities Displays a high level of integrity through excellent communication skills at all levels High level of IT competency, including ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite Advanced use of Excel, ERP system functions (data manipulation) A high level of attention to detail with excellent organisational skills Displays a high level of team commitment through trust, accountability and responsibility The ability to engage with all parties where a relationship is needed, in a concise, clear way to ensure a smooth information flow and working relationship Desirable Experience of using Microsoft Navision A passion for the outdoors and a working knowledge or interest in outdoor equipment/products Salary and Benefits: Salary range £27,675 - £29,889 per annum commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience Contributory company pension scheme, subject to qualifying conditions Life Assurance Scheme Hybrid working (discretionary basis, determined by business need) as well as an early finish on Fridays!
