MAINTENANCE SENIOR ENGINEERING SPECIALIST INSTRUMENTATION

MAINTENANCE SENIOR ENGINEERING SPECIALIST INSTRUMENTATION is required by our Client in the Oil & Energy sector to be assigned on a residential basis - located in Milan, Italy.
DURATION  12 months, Renewable DEPARTMENT             Operations SECTION                      Maintenance REPORTING                 Maintenance Manager PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates with MIEC contractor on all aspects of instrumentation Engineering & Maintenance matters, and provides expert technical advice Reviews and if required develops, the maintenance strategies for instrumentation equipment and ensures compliance of the planned preventive maintenance program to the company’s Safety & Environment Critical Element (SECE) performance standards Reviews the documents and technical characteristics of instrumentation and PLC equipment supplied by the project to identify challenges for future maintenance activities in operation phase Acts as an interface between EPC and MIE Contractor to facilitate data flow and ensure technical guidance of MIEC for instrumentation and PLC equipment In coordination with the Maintenance & Inspection Engineering Contractor (MIEC), develops and reviews the instrumentation equipment planned preventive and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program, to ensure that the maintenance tasks undertaken are adequate to prevent unplanned equipment failure Contributes to the data preparation of instrumentation and PLC equipment monitoring tools and organization in order to optimize PM and promote failure anticipation (development of OneCBM) Works with the company team and Maintenance and Inspection Engineering Contractor (MIEC) to develop maintenance procedures and standards, work method associated with the various instrumentation equipment Works with the Company’s Methods Team in ensuring all instrumentation equipment plans are loaded into the Computerized Maintenance and Inspection Management System (CMIMS) and are adequately resourced and all plans are resource leveled to allow for proper management of maintenance backlog during the operations phase Liaises with vendors and the original equipment manufacturers for all queries regarding maintenance, modifications, spare parts, drawings and the resolution of technical problems.
Works with the Operations team during commissioning phase for all instrumentation equipment which includes providing support on deviations and maintenance engineering input into design, 3D model and constructability reviews as well as Factory and Site Acceptance Testing Reviews and controls the standardization of materials and spare parts for all instrumentation equipment and related systems.
Reviews MIEC propositions on stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimize the stock value, whilst ensuring that all spare parts are available for routine, defect and shutdown maintenance.
Develops the scope of works for instrumentation equipment support contracts In coordination with the MIEC and Equipment Vendors, develops typical repair plans for the assets considered Vital Prepare all required procedures for future maintenance operations, defines tools and material required for the workshops and repairs of instrumentation and PLC equipment, PLC backups, industrial PC to support software upgrades and trouble shooting Ensure preparation of data required for future maintenance operation and trouble shooting (documentation related to instrumentation and PLC equipment) and accessibility in Quantum / Prodom Contributes to the configuration and implementation of ICSS screens, safety bars and logic for inhibitions Ensure preparation and implementation of cyber security requirements and safe recovery of systems TECHNICL REQUIREMENTS Excellent problem analysis & solving capabilities.
Excellent level of knowledge in Instrumentation, DCS & PLC equipment, maintenance systems and methods.
Excellent knowledge of Industrial communication protocols Modbus, Profibus, HART, Ethernet.
Excellent knowledge in and practical application of IIOT and cybersecurity as it applies to the instrumentation High Knowledge of process field instrumentation.
Knowledge of maintenance of instruments in hazardous areas Excellent knowledge of international codes & standards.
Excellent knowledge of International instrumented safety systems standard.
Good knowledge of maintenance SAP (like CMMS).
Good Knowledge of computer applications and methods.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of higher education in Control System, Automation, Instrumentation, Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering or equivalent with international standard Experience.
Minimum 20 years specific maintenance experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry Minimum 10 years in LNG producing plants, not LNG terminals Experience of working with DCS and PLC from different brands, good understanding of gas turbines (GE, Siemens) and package Control Systems Minimum 5 years experience of maintenance of integrated control and safety systems
