Among the European leaders in Wealth Management solutions, Prometeia is looking for a Junior Business Translator to join the Data Science team in its Milan office.
PROFILE.
As part of the Business Translator team, you will work in close synergy the Client and Data Scientists and be the connection between them.
You will be guided in understanding the Client's business processes, identifying the opportunities to apply data and algorithms to improve those processes, and initiating exploratory analysis.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS.
Strong passion for the world of Advanced Analytics and the use of innovative technologies and data in business contexts; Knowledge of Machine Learning principles and main clustering, classification and regression algorithms; Knowledge of the Office package (especially Word, Powerpoint, Excel); Interest in how business processes work and aptitude for identifying aspects of potential improvement through development of functional documentation.
Experience in building business cases and cost/benefit assessments in a project is a preferential requirement; Basic knowledge of at least one of the major programming languages for data analysis and analytical model development (e.
., Python, R, Matlab) is a preferential requirement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
Degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or other quantitative fields, ideally with focus on data analysis and interpretation.
Knowledge of the banking or insurance market will be considered a plus SOFT SKILLS.
Good communication and team working skills; Aptitude for teamwork, flexible and dynamic; Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills, ability to organize own work, time management; Entrepreneurial spirit and result orientation; Good knowledge of English; knowledge of a second foreign language is appreciated.
