IT SENIOR MANAGER, BI DATA & ANALYTICS

Por qué te necesitamos? The IT Senior Manager, BI Data & Analytics is responsible for turning abstract information from data analyses into appealing and understandable visualizations that improve business insights from the results of the analyses.
This role along with their team of direct reports are creative thinkers who understand user interface design and apply visualizations skills such as user experience design, data visualization, and graphical design.
Individuals in this role understand how information is turned into knowledge and how this knowledge supports and enables key business processes.
They must have a good understanding of data access requirements for business analytics and exploration.
Also required are analytical skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, as well as an innate curiosity around wanting to understand business processes, business strategy, and strategic business initiatives to help drive incremental business value from enterprise data assets.
This position will continually seek opportunities to help improve business decision-making processes, increase business stakeholder satisfaction, deepen relationships, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
They often educate team members on business unit goals and objectives and educate the business on the value of analytics and insights.
They also display innovation in identifying, proposing, and overseeing the development of analytics solutions and driving adoption by business stakeholders, which may include innovation of business processes.
Through adaptable communication skills and the ability to translate analytics requirements into underlying data requirements, they work collaboratively, negotiating data & analytics requirements across multiple groups.
The IT Senior Manager, BI Data & Analytics must have a solid understanding of existing business processes, the key drivers, and measures of success for the business, including short-term needs and longer-term strategic initiatives.
They must have a working knowledge of the business area that they support and have a solid understanding of the associated data domains.
Strong leadership, relationship management, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills are also required.

Project Planning Leads project planning processes and roadmap development.
Develops work plans or reviews other work plan timelines and manages workflows to meet project timeframes.
Responsible for identifying project tasks in support of project planning and estimation.
Contributes to strategic planning meetings and provides guidance and expertise on system options, risk, cost vs.
benefits, and impacts on business processes and goals.
Works closely with architects to assure all systems are in line with IT long-term strategy.
Ensures efforts are put towards sustainable solutions and future value Business Requirements Together with business stakeholders leads the development of business analytics requirements.
Brings deep understanding of business data domain and underlying data sources.
Leads development of data visualization and semantic data access requirements Brings expert knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to drive business analytics and semantic data access requirements.
Identifies and addresses unmet demands reducing/eliminating shadow IT.
Analytics & Data Visualization Ensures semantic layer design and implementation satisfy business analytics requirements.
Leads development of business analytics insight visualization.
Ensures functional and non-functional visualization requirements are met.
Leads knowledge transfer around using data visualizations to business stakeholders.
Drives business stakeholder adoption of insights-driven decision-making and/or business process innovation.
Ensures data visualization standards are maintained and implemented.
Test Oversees and assists in testing business analytics solutions.
Coaching and Mentoring Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
Provides technical guidance or system process expertise.
Provides performance feedback to managers.
Develops reports and presentations for senior management, as needed.
Technology Evaluation and Research Evaluates new visualization tools and performs research on best practices.
Participates in POC projects and provides business analytics solutions recommendations.
Networks within SG community and externally for benchmarking solutions and processes.

Collaborate with data engineers and analytics and subject matter experts to identify useful and strategically relevant insights.
Demonstrate a strong sense of visual design and interest in creative visualization work.
Demonstrate an ability to reduce data to the bare minimum of what is needed to optimally communicate a message.
Demonstrate a drive to learn new tools and new ways of visualizing/displaying data and insights.
Work closely with business users, vendors and delivery teams to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of business analytics and reporting solutions.
