This position reports to Category Manger of own Category Your role and responsibilities ABB Electrification Procurement is a key function that delivers value to ABB by leveraging market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of goods and services and the management of ABB Electrification\us third party spend.
Through collaboration with our external suppliers and internal business partners, the Indirect Materials & Services team of the Electrification Procurement organization helps writing the future of safe, smart, and sustainable electrification.
As the EMEA IT and Consulting Category specialist, you are responsible for the supporting the development of the Category Strategy, execution of the sourcing initiatives and related negotiations as well as for the support of IT related projects from the procurement/sourcing perspective.
Based on your deep subject matter expertise in the area of IT Services, Operations, Hardware, Software and Consulting services you engage and partner with senior Business stakeholders and Business Procurement/Finance, to deliver the overall Category performance and savings targets.
he objective of this position is to leverage the purchasing power of ABB on a global level and to achieve the set of performance targets for the key categories within IT and Consulting for Electrification Business area.

Supporting the development and implementation of short-, mid- and long-term Category Strategies in alignment with Business.

\uLeading and supporting sourcing initiatives, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies.
u Running RFPs/ RFQs / e Auctions in SAP Ariba and Apadua in a smooth way for IT and Consulting projectsContract management.
\u Reviewing and driving independently contracts to completion \u in partnership with the suppliers and the internal ABB business/legalSupplier management.
\u Ensuring a robust approach to supplier management (value creation / continuous improvement targets, reporting of supplier performance, innovation programs), building effective suppliers relationship, verifying that supply base /suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements, managing supplier risks and conducting regular business reviews.
Qualifications for the role University degree, with business or engineering degree preferable 3+ years of in-depth sourcing and category management experience or equivalent extensive experience working in the IT and Consulting related categories Strong communication and interpersonal skills, project management skills Proven analytical acumen and capability in negotiation and stakeholder management Highly organized and strong result-orientation Excellent contract management expertise SAP Ariba including eAuctioning, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel and PPT Business level fluency in English This is a hybrid position with the possibility to be fully remote.
