Industry X - Senior Electrical Discipline Leader The Senior Electrical Discipline Leader position is available at our engineering company specializing in multidisciplinary services for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors in the Oil & Gas industry.
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead and oversee the electrical discipline within our projects.
As a Senior Electrical Discipline Leader, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, guiding, and mentoring the electrical engineering team, and ensuring the successful execution of electrical design and engineering activities, including coordination of multi-site and offshore project teams.
Responsibilities.
Lead and supervise the electrical engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support.
Oversee the development and execution of electrical design plans, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and electrical equipment specifications.
Collaborate with project managers and other discipline leaders to define project requirements, deliverables, and schedules.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices in electrical design and engineering.
Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Provide technical expertise and support in the resolution of complex electrical design and engineering issues.
Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to optimize electrical design, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate and manage multi-site and offshore project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with other disciplines, such as process, instrumentation, and control systems, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Conduct electrical design reviews, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to electrical design and engineering.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
A master's degree is a plus.
Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in electrical engineering and design, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices (e.
., NEC, IEC).
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex electrical design projects.
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as SmartPlant Electrical, AutoCAD, and SKM Power Tools and 3D modeling software SmartPlant 3D.
Knowledge of Bentley Microstation and TEKLA is preferable.
Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient electrical solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
Experience in coordinating and managing multi-site and offshore project teams.
Proficiency i written and spoken English.
