General Accounting & Tax Internship.
focusing on the Sustainability Report Objective The successful candidate will deepen the knowledge of General Accounting & Tax office (GA & Tax), its objectives, processes and tools, and will support the members of the local and international Finance teams in some of the activities defined as priorities.
Working closely with the GA & Tax Manager and the whole Finance organization, the successful candidate will be exposed to a range of exciting and impactful projects that will help move Lilly Italy forward in their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting journey, as well as on internal controls and compliance topics.
Activities The successful candidate will support the GA & Tax Team in the following activities.
Support the mapping of existing processes in the ESG area and the implementation of the Sustainability Report Understanding ESG reporting and ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) principles Mapping of existing ESG processes Assessment of Lilly Italy ESG readiness, alignment with sustainability strategy, and readiness for sustainability reporting Based on the outcome of the assessment, support the establishment of an action plan for ESG reporting readiness Control of the action plan and interaction with all parties involved, and presentation to internal stakeholders Implementation of the Sustainability Report Support to internal control activities, compliance, and audit activities   (e.
.
monthly checks on accounting activities; quarterly checks on payment activities of expense reports; monthly checks on compliance with company procedures; etc.) Support to compliance activities (e.
.
SAP user review, SOX self-audit, Key Control Matrix monitoring, assistance in case of internal audit, etc.) Requirements Master's Degree in Economics or Engineering Fluent English Very good level of use of the Office suite, especially PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint.
Initiative in all automation processes.
Knowledge of SAP appreciated Spirit of initiative; ability to organize and understand priorities; data analysis skills; attention to details Project results and major learning opportunity Implementation of the Sustainability Report General understanding of the pharmaceutical industry Understanding of the complexity of a multinational company and the roles of GA & Tax office and Finance organization Practical experience in project management, problem solving and teamwork in a complex multinational company Development of communication skills in the workplace and professional environment Internal relationship The successful candidate will have daily operational reporting into the GA & Tax Manager and work closely with the Controller’s team, with regular interactions with Manufacturing, HR (Human Resources) and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Teams.
