Role Title: YSS Finance Assistant Salary: £15,684 per annum Hours: 21 hours Location: Derby The YMCA is a charity at the heart of the community in Derbyshire. ROLE PURPOSE As YSS Finance Assistant you will be responsible for overseeing all transactional duties for one of the subsidiaries. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Purchase & Sales ledger processing Cashbook processing & reconciliation of bank statements Handle queries related to accounts payable and receivable. Monthly Payroll Processing and administration Petty cash postings. Balance sheet reconciliation Producing monthly accruals and prepayments. Assisting with the yearly audit preparation, obtaining all the relevant documentation that is required. This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and the post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, to meet the needs of the organisation. Experience: 1+ years working as part of a finance team 1+ years’ experience of payroll administration Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines Confident communication skills Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Sage 200 preferably (not essential) A driving license and use of own car is essential. The appointment is subject to YMCA Derbyshire receiving two satisfactory references, an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and a six-month probationary period.
