With our app and API-based solutions, Pliant allows companies to issue physical and virtual credit cards, automate payment processes, track spending, and seamlessly integrate these data into their finance stack. Our growing team of 100+ Plianteers comes from 25 nationalities and works remotely or in a hybrid environment from our headquarters in the heart of Berlin. ABOUT THE ROLE You support Pliant as Business Development Manager - Italy (m/f/d) and build up our customer base in this very successful and growing market. You collaborate with our potential customers and advise them that Pliant's digital credit card solution is THE payment method of the future, from which our customers can sustainably benefit through time and cost savings. You will work closely with your colleagues from Customer Success, Underwriting, and Product Management. This role would be based in Berlin where we have our HQ, and there will be some travel as required for sales and networking events. WHAT YOU'LL DO Analyse: You're up for sourcing business and corporate clients in our target verticals and finding exciting customer segments that can benefit from our Pliant credit card solution. Select Channels: You have a desire to work creatively and select different channels and strategies for customer outreach. Customer advocacy: You take ownership and communicate skillfully to contact potential customers and build a strong customer pipeline. Understanding: It's important to you to know your contact's needs and problems, ask the right questions, and listen to them in order to pick up your customers where they are at the moment. Advise: You put yourself in your customers' shoes and identify for them how we at Pliant can deliver the most value to them. Market Growth: You are driving further expansion across the Italian market and will work to define our local strategy as well as shape the product for local specifics. Ongoing support: You will support the team with ongoing projects and process improvements as well as supporting your portfolio of customers. WHAT YOU'LL BRING You are numbers-driven and can drive yourself to success in this role. You thrive when working with customers, you are communicative and know how to relate to your contact persons. You are always asking yourself how you can improve in individual situations, you are happy to receive and give feedback, and are eager to develop yourself further. You have energy, like to work independently, and are strongly motivated by clear goals. You are interested in FinTech and the digitalization of the financial industry. Experience in sales within the eCommerce, SaaS, Marketing, and reselling industries would be a real advantage for this position. Experience selling into the Travel or Tourism sector, especially in the Italian market, is another real plus. You have excellent Italian and English language skills, both written and spoken.
