Job Title: Maintenance Technician Hours: Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm | NO WEEKENDS Note: HVAC Certification is preferred but not required. The Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with visitors, contractors, and fellow employees. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Responsibilities: Interact with residents to identify, diagnose, repair, and resolve issues related to electrical, plumbing, A/C, heating systems, appliances, stairs, railings, gas fixtures, carpet, tiles, flooring, etc. Job Duties/Requirements: Plumbing: Repair, replace, or install faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines. Electrical: Repair, replace, or install power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, and garage door openers. Drywall Repair: Fill in small holes caused by nails and minor dings from normal wear and tear, commonly performed between tenant changes. Painting: Perform minor touch-ups following damage repair and apply new coats of paint to unit walls between tenant changes. Appliance Repair: Repair, replace, or install major household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers and dryers, hot water tanks, and air conditioners. Groundskeeping: Mow grass, pull weeds, trim and prune trees and shrubs, water lawns and plants, replace light bulbs, sweep or rake leaves, and tidy up grounds.
