ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Toyota Material Handling Italia , a company of Toyota Industries Corporation, the world’s number one in materials handling equipment, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Team. The role will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be her right-hand in the management of a wide range of accounting operations and tax compliance. What will you do: Account analysis, reconciliations, and monthly closures : Conduct detailed account analyses and reconciliations. Execute month-end close activities, acting as the accounting subject matter reference point and coordinating with European HQ. Financial statements : Collaborate with the Tax consultant in the preparation of Statutory Financial statements in compliance with OIC standards. Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to deadlines, tax regulations, and accounting standards, including IAS/IFRS and OIC, across all financial operations. Process optimization : Design, implement, and standardize accounting processes across all group entities. ERP and system enhancements : Support the testing, implementation, and optimization of ERP systems and internal accounting software updates. Audit coordination : Support the Finance Manager in overseeing and coordinating financial audits, internal and external, managing communication and deliverables with auditors. Account Payable and Account Receivable support : Assist the AP and AR teams in booking customer and supplier invoices when needed. Minimum Requirements: Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally focusing on tax and accounting functions. Fluency in English (both spoken and written). Understanding of tax regulations and Transfer Price principles. Knowledge of Italian accounting standards (OIC) as well as international standards (IAS/IFRS). Ability to work autonomously, taking responsibility for tasks and projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and Power Point. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and finding ways to automate and improve workflows. Nice to have: Accounting and tax knowledge preferably gained in Consulting Firms or Big Four. Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA. Previous experience in development and implementation project of new ERP.
