Description Writer – R&A Studio – Content Curation About the role.
We seek a Writer with an eye for detail and expertise in English to create high-quality research notes on various enterprise topics.
A successful candidate should be able to contextualize research for diverse business audiences and update existing research by partnering with analysts and other stakeholders worldwide.
The candidate must understand what kind of writing is appropriate for business leaders and strive to provide exceptional, informative, and engaging content to clients.
The candidate should be able to break down complex topics into an easily digestible and consumable format while incorporating Gartner's unique perspective.
What will you do.
Be a key member of the Content Maintenance CoE and interpret and structure information for business leaders that is actionable, applicable, and aligned with their roles.
Create research notes on various topics.
Tasks include liaising with research teams, subject matter experts, and analysts; rewriting existing work; drafting edits; and checking facts.
Collaborate with stakeholders to plan work priorities, timelines and research collection.
Contextualize research notes written for a specific role to make them relevant to other roles.
Suggest improvements in processes and procedures to optimize work and enhance quality.
Undertake continuous, job-related training to maintain writing quality levels and improve individual skills.
Maintain an awareness of target roles and new terms or phrases that are becoming popular in their domains.
What will you need.
Bachelor's degree level or equivalent.
3-6 years experience as a professional writer or in a comparable job role.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Ability to express complex and technical ideas in easy-to-understand language.
Knowledge of the Associated Press (AP) style will be an added advantage.
Analytical and research skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and openness to learn and undertake new writing projects.
Ability to work effectively in a global, collaborative environment.
General understanding of Gartner's expertise and business model.
