We employ up to 100 staff each season which gives Alpine Elements a unique advantage in offering the chance to work summer or winter and, if visa restrictions allow, back-to-back seasonal opportunities. With a variety of positions available, we are the perfect company to choose whether you are looking for a career progression or a one-off seasonal experience. We are fully compliant with all immigration laws; therefore, we welcome all nationalities to apply that have an EU passport, a right to work in France in the form of a CDS, or are from a country where you can obtain a visa. We are one of the few companies that assist UK applicants to complete their visa paperwork, meaning all UK passport holders are welcome to apply, however the recruitment process has extra steps to obtain your visa and work permits. The majority of our guests are from the UK, therefore it is compulsory that all applicants are fluent in English to be considered for a position. We are looking for passionate applicants who can balance a demanding position whilst maintaining a good work/life balance. Together we will ensure you will find & be in your element. As a chalet supervisor, you will work with the resort manager to oversee a group of chalets in one of our great resorts, and make sure that all high standards and service are met for our guests. Alongside logistics and planning, you will train, develop, and manage your hosts, and support staff, to go above and beyond guest expectations. You will have a strong understanding of chalet holidays and a proactive approach, ensuring you respond to any guest complaints in the properties in your area. You will identify areas to reduce working hours and increase staff retention, whilst improving the quality of the product. You will have the ability to identify success as well as areas for improvement, streamlining systems and processes to deliver operational efficiency and achieve our exacting standards. You will have the confidence and experience to go into the chalets and be hands-on to help cook or clean when needed, whilst also maintaining a professional demeanour to mentor those around you. Customer Focus · Achieve high guest satisfaction scores for chalets within your resorts. · Take responsibility resolving customer issues efficiently in resort. Operational · Oversee a range of chalets, focusing on driving forward our high standards, service, and cleanliness. · Identify and share success as well as areas for improvement; streamlining systems and processes to deliver operational efficiency. · Produce detailed and accurate inventories of all chalets and stock takes of all chalet’s stores. · Ensure your team submit all required paperwork. · Provide operational & logistical support and customer facing presence. · Ensure comprehensive closedown of resort at the end of season. Leadership · Oversee the performance of all chalet staff and provide continuous support and training, ensuring the hosts and support staff conduct housekeeping and catering duties to set standards. · Ensure induction and training is provided for all new or replacement chalet staff that start mid-season, ensuring that all aspects of a chalet is covered, and that relevant paperwork is completed. · Conduct regular staff accommodation, chalet and uniform checks. · Conduct weekly meetings to ensure staff remain motivated. What we are looking for Passionate about skiing and snowboarding activities. Motivated to provide excellent customer service. Adaptable people who have a flexible attitude towards work. Clear communication skills. Ability to work alone and as part of a team. Ability to cope under pressure. Honest and trustworthy Excellent collaborator, team player and leader. Catering and cooking experience. Previous management experience. Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2 certification – links to online courses can be requested. A full driving licence and confidence driving is essential for this role. Desirable requirement Relevant transferable work experience. Experience problem solving customer issues and thinking on your feet. Conversational French is an advantage. Salary and Package 35 hours a week contract which includes a great work/ life balance. Full training and development available with career progression opportunities. Salary is competitive and uniform is provided. Assistance to obtain a visa (UK only) can be provided as an optional extra if needed. If accommodation is needed, this can be provided at a discounted rate.
