VEHICLE VALIDATION SPECIALIST

We are looking for Vehicle Validation Specialists to support the engineering development team on vehicle fleet development and validation process. The Goal of the Activity is the Validation of the vehicle subsystems (mechanical and traction, infotainment, …) regarding quality, durability and functions in relevant conditions for the customer, guaranteeing customer expectations for all markets and taking into account the different climatic zones, driving profiles and road conditions. The Vehicle Validation Specialist Engineer will be responsible for the following activities: · Vehicles management in agreement with the Validation Plan; · Vehicle release management for validation test sessions; · Vehicle needs definition; · Vehicle test iteration loop management and optimization measure management; · Vehicle SW configuration management – vehicle modernization; · Vehicle issue root cause analysis – first and second level analysis support; · Blocking points resolution to guarantee vehicle testing activity execution; · Complaints, Mileage and Statistical activity; · Tracking of all tickets of the affected vehicle for a quick solution of all complaints · Alignment with problem managers of the development departments · Organization and lead of special meetings (escalation, presentation to management) · Alignment across all brands of the VW/AUDI Group · Technical exchange with development departments, quality department, testing facilities, workshop and other stakeholders. We are looking for different candidates who will work on the following different subsystems: · Mechanical and traction · Infotainment and connectivity · Vehicle Conventional Powertrain · Vehicle Electrical Powertrain, Battery and Charging Requirements: · Master’s degree or equivalent in appropriate field of study (electronics, informatics, electrical or mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation). · HW and SW knowledge in component development for automotive electronics, especially in the field of alternative Powertrain, Battery and Charging development; · Knowledge and experience in the field of software testing; · Knowledge and experience of vehicle validation process; · Knowledge of vehicle communication and networking; · Experience in Vehicle Diagnostics; · Experience in a evaluating measurement data and trace analysis; · Knowledge of the AUDI or VW Product development process; · Knowledge of CAN/LIN network tools: CANalyzer, CANoe; · Knowledge of diagnostic tester and calibration tools: iDEX, ODIS, CpTOOL · Knowledge of Datalogger System in the VW Konzern (configuration, SW update and HW replacement); · Knowledge of the main Audi Tools is a plus (KPM, Easy4Q, Alpos, AVx); · Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); · Required driver's license (prototype driver's license desirable). Language-Skills · Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English is required. · Basic/Professional knowledge of written and spoken German is required.
