TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR - INDIA

The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are looking for a highly skilled and experienced tunnel supervisor, to join a global leader in construction sector for one of India's largest infrastructure projects involving the construction of several tunnels and bridges.

Job Role/Responsibilities.
Supervise all tunnelling activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) or other excavation methods as applicable.
Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation (labour, materials, and equipment).
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
Conduct regular inspections and ensure quality control of tunnelling works.
Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on-site.
Liaise with project stakeholders, including subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.
Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the project manager.
Project The infrastructure project is based in a state in Northern India crossed by the Himalayas.
It consists of the construction of several tunnels and bridges to form a railway line.
Requirements.
English speaking Minimum of 15 years of experience in tunnelling or underground works, ideally on railway or infrastructure projects.
Proven expertise in TBM operations, NATM techniques, or other tunnelling methods.
Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Prior international experience, especially in India or similar markets, is advantageous.
