TECHNICAL MANAGER (SUPERFOODS)

GO Superfoods Ltd is a leading European superfoods business based on the outskirts of Sheffield. Established in 2008, we import a range of 80+ superfoods direct from growers around the world and sell them under our own brands, in bulk, direct to consumers via Retailers/Amazon and as private label. We are the BRAND behind many UK and European superfood brands. We are on a mission to make healthy eating easier, to make a meaningful social impact and to become the leading superfood business. Reporting to: Technical Director Location: Dinnington, Sheffield Hours: Full Time Office Based The Opportunity: GO Superfoods is seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled and experienced Food Technologist to act as a Technical Services Manager. This role is to oversee and maintain a robust quality assurance program for all our products. This involves ensuring product safety, legality and consistent exceedance of customer expectations. The success candidate will be instrumental in supplier and product evaluation, meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders, streamlining product launches, and driving overall customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Raw material and supplier management Maintain a full, product risk assessment of each product and supply chain, considering known, emerging, and potential issues. Serve as the primary technical contact and approver for our suppliers of food ingredients, components, or finished goods, and related service providers. New supplier assessment and approval against our safety, quality, sustainability, ethical sourcing, and product integrity standards. Qualify new suppliers, conduct performance evaluations, negotiate laboratory contracts, and address supplier issues. Build strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality and safety standards. Product Specification Management and Documentation About You: Degree/HND level or equivalent in food science, food technology or related subject OR experience working in a food industry technical or QA Role Qualifications including Food Hygiene, HACCP, Food Safety etc are desirable Proven technical operations experience in the food industry, ideally in vitamins, supplements, or related products Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities Data & Digital skills; Power BI, Excel, Google Data Studio, coding added advantage Excellent organisational and time management skills We offer Pension Scheme Contribution Cycle to Work Scheme Health Care Cash Plan Please visit us at https://greenorigins.com/ for further information and to find out all about us!
