ROLE SUMMARY: We are seeking a Teacher of IBDP Chemistry and MYP Integrated Science . The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional, preferably with experience of the International Baccalaureate. We are looking for a teacher who is willing to use flexible strategies and prepare students for their DP examinations. Candidates should be qualified educators with experience in teaching Chemistry, committed to high standards, and able to bring a creative, student-focused approach to the subject. Ideal candidates will be team players who lead by example, with a willingness to participate in departmental development and an understanding of the unique needs of students whose first language is not English. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a successful and growing IB teaching team. The person appointed will be expected to begin work in August 2025, before which date a criminal records check will need to be completed as part of our safer recruitment and child safeguarding policies. About the school: This is an exciting time to join The International School of Como, a recognised IB World school, authorised to offer the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum: the Primary Years Programme (PYP, ages 3-11), Middle Years Programme (MYP, ages 11-16) and Diploma Programme (DP, ages 16-18). Requirements Bachelor degree or above in the relevant field. Qualified Teacher Status. Experience of teaching DP Chemistry (preferable). Hold an EU passport or have already obtained the right to be employed in Italy. Knowledge and skills in ICT literacy.
