Sustainability and Compliance Advisor
Department: Sustainability and Compliance – Supply Chain
Reports to: Sustainability and Compliance Manager
Location: Supply Chain offices in Scandicci – Florence, Italy
Contract Type: Permanent Contract
Experience Required: 1-3 years
Mode: Hybrid
Role Purpose: This role will work actively on to embed the group sustainability strategy whilst ensuring the highest level of supplier and product compliance via stakeholder engagement and data collection under the Sustainability and Compliance Manager direction.
Impactful Activities:
The Sustainability and Compliance Advisor will have the following responsibilities:
• Support the management of sustainability and compliance strategies, including documentation and data management.
• Conduct supplier assessments to ensure social and environmental performance, as well as compliance with regulations and group policies.
• Monitor key projects, including:
• certification management, carbon footprint data collection, supply chain mapping, Audit scheduling, Chemical Management liaising and Compliance reporting.
Who We Are Looking For:
• 1-3 years of solid experience in Sustainability and Compliance within Supply Chain, Compliance, or Sourcing departments, preferably in the luxury fashion sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep understanding of current legislation, responsible sourcing standards, corporate social responsibility, and global environmental requirements.
• Experience in conducting and analyzing social and environmental supplier audits.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Chemical, or Environmental Sciences.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office tools, PLM, ERP, and supplier management software.
Desirable skills:
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and supportive, with effective multitasking skills for managing multiple projects.
• Proactive in driving workflows independently and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with all stakeholders and willingness to travel as needed.
• Curious about emerging trends in sustainable procurement to integrate into company practices.
• Fluency in Italian and English languages.
• Background knowledge on SA8000, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 would be a plus.
• Background knowledge on raw material certification standards would be a plus.
