Selection of strategic suppliers who have the ability to meet all delivery, quality, new product development and competitiveness requirements  Manage supplier relationships for assigned commodities while developing & implementing cost reduction programs and improving upon ordering and inventory control practices Development, coordination and negotiation of supply agreements and contracts Develop industry, product and supply base knowledge, including key cost drivers Complete & communicate supplier performance reviews  Manage continuous improvement programs with suppliers.
Provide assistance in the resolution of discrepant material through coordination with internal departments and suppliers Manage the flow of goods by providing the necessary guidance & assistance to stakeholders Primary lead in supplier cost negotiations, cost reduction and cost containment Project management Administer and complete special projects as assigned.
Assist in the development & implementation of system and procedural enhancements which will streamline the procurement process by removing time and/or costs from the procurement process Facilitate the communication between suppliers and end users/stakeholders.
