Job Description Supervise the daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring all kitchen areas, dishwashing stations, and storage spaces are clean, organized, and fully functional.
Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, utensils, and tableware, placing timely orders to maintain optimal stock.
Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards across kitchen and dining areas in full compliance with local health and safety regulations.
Plan and assign tasks to stewarding staff, monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and strict adherence to operational protocols.
Train new team members on cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety practices to uphold consistent service quality.
Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth operations and promptly address any concerns regarding cleanliness or equipment functionality.
Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and coordinating timely solutions with the maintenance team.
Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of major kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, and refrigeration units, ensuring they meet both operational and health standards.
Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supervisory Role in Stewarding or related roles in a Luxury Hotel is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines, and a thorough understanding of Food Safety Standards.
