Security systems, telecommunications, supervision, control & management information and signalling solutions for trains, trams and metros Regarding railway solutions, Thales is the homologated supplier of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana for Axel Counters, Tunnel Security, Energy Saving, SCADA systems and Asset Management.
Italy is Thales Group’s competence centre for tramway signalling solutions.
The activity of SIX domain.
mission critical solutions and applications for assets and citizens security (supervision, control and information management systems) as well as cybersecurity.
Thales offers solutions to protect the information systems and critical data of its civilian and military customers and helps its customers to detect and prevent cyberattacks by devising secure architectures from the design stage, overseeing these architectures and ensures that they are kept in secure working order.
Italy is Thales Group’s competence centre for Airport security and operations management solutions.
Profile.
• You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any other relevant field of study • You have experience of project management and technical leadership in your area • You are a born leader and look for a position of responsibility within a complex, multi-stakeholder, highly regulated environment • You are a team player with a sharp intellect, challenging approach and a “can do attitude” • You have a passion for technologies, continuing education and problem solving • You are results oriented and want to satisfy Thales customers Competencies.

As a Thales Software Activities Coordination Role, you will lead the team(s) to implement best practices for quality and improved delivery, which means that your missions will consist of.
• Defining the Software development cycle in consistency with that of upper/same level elements • Tailoring the Software Engineering Environment (processes, practices and tools) according to Country/GBU/BL and project’s requirements.
• Allocating responsibilities to individual contributors • Participating in the specification of the functions and interfaces of products to be developed • Participating in the definition of the architecture, and the allocation of functions, to the components • In collaboration with the Software Architect, of checking that the "Software Asset Management (SAM)" aspects for the solution software components and the software components used in the engineering workbenches are addressed (codification, compliance with the T&Cs, impacts on costs…) • Ensuring that your team members are still aligned with market expectations and can grow (objectives review, coaching, mentoring and developing skills sets) • Taking in charge or participating in the production and maintenance of management plans • Keeping up-to-date with latest technologies evolution & frameworks and implementing best practices • Ensuring global consistency of the engineering process, practices and tools, organize the coengineering and potentially approve lower level solution elements’ or components’ • Basic knowledge of Airport Processes Possible Career at Thales.
