Purpose of the Job The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the seamless approval and management of company routes, including Traffic Rights and Overflight Permits, for all ASLB-operated flights and third-party providers. The second major pillar of this function is the development, maintenance, and implementation of airport slots in alignment with ASLB's commercial flight program. This includes continuous monitoring of slot usage, managing aero-political information, and coordinating between Scheduling, Operations, Commercial requirements, and Traffic Rights to prevent disruptions and optimize the network. This position is an integral part of the Flight Operations Management Support. The position reports to the Flight Operations Support Manager. Key Activities Route and Permit Management: Manage and follow up on company routes approval (Traffic Rights and Overflight Permits) for ASLB and third-party operators. Prepare and manage filings and documentation to secure necessary Traffic Rights and Clearances. Slot Management: Manage the company’s slots (EU and Non-EU operations, including Third Party). Ensure seasonal slots applications are made and slots obtained in due time, according to the IATA calendar. Adjust seasonal slots to match the new seasonal scheduled flights program as necessary. Ensure slots are obtained for all alterations to the scheduled flights program. Follow and secure slots on a weekly and daily basis. Maintain an up-to-date and complete slots portfolio, including all contact details and reports per airport. Provide regular reports to management regarding any network slot and movements violations. Coordination and Communication: Support coordination between Scheduling, Operations, and Commercial requirements. Inform the Commercial Department of Traffic Rights updates for both SMH and LH flights. Manage relationships with Aviation Non-Critical Authorities such as US TSA/CBP, Chinese ATM, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NATO, and Airport Companies. Data and IT Management: Update and maintain data integrity through IT solutions to ensure access to the latest Traffic Rights updates. Handle clear and up-to-date databases of aircraft licenses, operating permits, and official documentation. Administrative and Support Tasks: Assist in preparing meetings with authorities and regulatory bodies for management. Manage invoice review and approval following ASLB financial guidance. Provide support to other department members as requested by the manager. Operational and Public Affairs: Participate in operational meetings, which may require regular business travel. Monitor Public Affairs communications, inform management of relevant updates, and prepare briefings and reports as needed. Resilience and Backup Duties: Ensure all team members can back up their colleagues in case of issues or emergencies. Be available outside regular office hours for follow-ups with relevant authorities when needed. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain and provide regular reports on slots, Traffic Rights, and public affairs matters. Ensure a timely and rigorous administrative follow-up of any slots exchange agreements. Requirements and Qualifications ·The function requires flexibility and out of office availability for emergencies. ·Due to the nature of the function, it is required to be contactable in defined periods. ·The function may require business travels. ·Higher Education or University Degree and/or preferably qualified in-Flight Operations. ·Operational experience in aviation (minimum 5 years ideally), preferably related to ASLB network operations. ·Experience in an air operation environment would be a definite advantage. ·Affinity of ASLB services and processes especially those relating to own department. ·To demonstrate excellent spoken and written reporting capability. The function requires solid data analytical skills. ·To be able to prioritize tasks and work autonomously. ·Good IT skills including MS Office, SITA, CAE FPM, CAE MM, … ·Full fluency in English is an absolute prerequisite. ·Any other language skills would be an asset. ·A sound and effective self-organisation, strong problem-solving capability. ·Really good organization skills and pro-activity, rapid decision making. ·Assertive, tactful, confidentiality at all times. ·Stress resistant. ·High standard of self-motivation to meet targets and time-scales. ·To display a positive, open and cooperative behavior to facilitate a good relationship inside and outside the department, avoid and help to solve conflicts. ·To be rigorous, precise, well organized, solution orientated, proactive, etc. TERMS AND CONDITIONS ·Permanent Contract ·Full time job - Office hours but available to travel abroad.
