This role involves supporting a key global customer, where you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining their network environment. The ideal candidate brings expertise in Cisco routing, switching, and Cisco ISE, with hands on experience in network administration, troubleshooting, and implementing security policies to maintain high network performance and security across several customer environments. Responsibilities: Working alongside architects and technical leads to serve as the main point of contact to the management and optimisation of our customers network infrastructure. Providing expertise in Cisco SD-Access, Cisco wireless technologies and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), ensuring robust and scalable network solutions. Working alongside delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition of customer networks into operational support. Involvement in day-to-day incident management, ownership of technical escalations and driving resolution of incidents within the Managed Services function. Developing and enforcing network policies and procedures, aligning with industry best practices and compliance requirements relating to our customers enterprise network estates. Performing regular upgrades, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements to maintain optimal performance and seamless connectivity for both end users and wider customer networks. Collaborating with Professional Services / Project Management / Pre-Sales teams to understand Business needs and translate them into technical requirements, whilst providing training in relation to network troubleshooting. Diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, providing Level 3 support and guidance to internal and external (Customer) teams. Working with the security teams to deploy and integrate SASE solutions, enhancing the overall security posture of the client networks. Monitor network performance using industry-specific tools, proactively identify issues, and resolve network outages or degradations. Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topologies, configurations, and changes. Help contribute to reports on network performance and security incidents. Ensure clear and concise asset and configuration management is carried out within the companies ITSM. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Technical Managed Service role working directly with customers. Hands-on experience in network engineering, focusing on Cisco-based solutions. Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, access points). Strong knowledge of network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP). Experienced with Layer 2/3 switching for high availability and scalability. Understanding of network security principles, including ACLs, firewall policies, VPN configurations, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing. Skilled in basic network device configuration, firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments. Experienced in implementing Cisco ISE for identity management. Skilled in installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco ISE. Familiar with change governance and CAB processes Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Education: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent certifications are strongly preferred Cisco ISE certification or equivalent experience is required.
