The RDS R&D POC (Point of Care) department develops diagnostic systems used for the measurement of various physiological parameters in the hospital and critical care environment. We provide solutions for on-the-spot diagnosis in the areas of coagulation monitoring, urinalysis, glucose management, cardiovascular care and blood gas & electrolyte (BG/E) testing. The team comprises experts with various backgrounds in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, and laboratory. Your tasks Embedded software development for the modules (maintenance, bug fixing, implementing new features) Electronic development from schematic design to system integration for new and existing instruments and technologies Concept development of electronic modules (proactive proposals based on customer and service feedbacks) Creation of technical specifications, design and verification documents according process from feasibility setup to the final unit Perform and document feasibility studies and verification tests of instrument modules during development phase Support of the product after launch during the whole life cycle of the instrument Redesign of PCBs due to end of life and 2nd source topics Migration of firmware code to new microcontroller platform Code analysis of complex electronic modules Root cause analysis of field and production issues Collaboration with experts of different disciplines, departments and external development partners Support less experienced developer Your qualifications Hold a master or bachelor degree in electronic engineering with focus firmware development or comparable studies > 10 years of experience in embedded software development in C (experience with STM32 are a plus) > 5 years of experience in analog electronic design Knowledge in the area of motion control (focus stepper motors) Ideally knowledge in thermal regulation and Peltier application You have very good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus Very independent and structured way of working, self-initiative and fun in teamwork Your application Please apply online.
