Marketing & Communications Full time We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) to join our Marketing Intelligence team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing FLIX's marketing strategies through advanced data analysis and innovative model development. You will collaborate closely with teams across Marketing & Sales Business & Tech Teams, Revenue Management, Network Planning, BI Reporting and IT to ensure that our data-driven insights directly contribute to smarter budget allocation and overall business growth. About the team you'd be working with The team you will be joining provides a holistic ecosystem to support FLIX profitable growth strategy by measuring all global marketing activities, continuously conducting incrementality tests for performance-, media-, and brand-campaigns (such as A/B tests, but way beyond it), to influence and optimize the marketing budget. You will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with stakeholders from many different areas of the company and help us in creating and rolling out new tools and services. The team works agile, in roadmaps and sprints, and every team member’s opinion counts to shape short- and long-term planning. Your Tasks – Paint the world green Collaborate with Marketing Management: As part of a central team, you collaborate with marketing management to create and develop Advanced Analytical Models to enhance our marketing strategies and optimize budget allocation. Conduct Causal Impact Analysis: Utilize advanced econometric techniques to perform causal impact analysis, determining the direct effects of marketing activities on business outcomes and providing actionable insights. Design and Execute Incrementality Experiments: Develop and implement experiments to measure the incremental impact of various marketing initiatives, ensuring the accurate assessment of campaign effectiveness and true uplift. Enhance Marketing Attribution: Contribute to the development of Econometrics models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our marketing attribution and measurement framework. Communicate Complex Insights: Present complex statistical concepts and findings to non-technical audiences, enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple departments. Your Profile – Ready to Make an Impact Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Experience: Relevant experience in a data science role, with a proven track record in model development and business optimization. Technical Skills: Expertise in designing and implementing algorithms and data structures in Python, Scala, or similar programming languages. Software Development Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of modern software development practices, including data access, management, and version control tools, with a focus on reproducibility and interpretability. Data Storytelling and Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar, with a strong ability to tell stories with data are strong plus.
