Your mission will be focused on managing and monitoring our databases and to foster the data reliability within the company.
About the role.
Join us as a Senior Cloud Database Engineer and lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of scalable, secure, and high-performing databases on AWS.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring database availability, security, and performance, contributing to our organisation's data-driven success.
Key responsibilities.
Manage and optimise AWS database systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and replication strategies for high availability.
Design and deploy databases in AWS environments, aligning with best practices.
Perform seamless data migrations and enforce robust security measures.
Automate routine tasks and optimise database queries and resource usage.
Collaborate with teams to support application development and troubleshoot issues.
Stay updated on AWS database technologies and adopt relevant advancements.
You'll be great for this role if you have.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of database administration experience, with a focus on AWS technologies.
Expertise in AWS services like Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Kafka, Redis, etc.
Proficiency in MySQL and advanced query optimisation skills.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Knowledge of database security, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
A proactive, self-motivated mindset with excellent organisational skills.
