Responsibilities of the Scrubber Engineer include.
- Review and scrutinize all scrubber documentation for installation and commissioning.
- Point contact for scrubber installation and commissioning team and guide them for all the necessary support.
- Work closely with the scrubber installation team and do daily reporting.
- Maintain and operated scrubbers and associated equipment as required by the Manual Makers and/or PMS work descriptions and/or as direct orders given by the Chief Engineer and/or Staff Engineer; - Train and inform ECR watch keepers for the scrubber operation and required monitoring.
- Closely monitor the scrubber operations and associated machinery; further raise any warranty claims if required.
- Monitor the effects and performance of the d/g, economizer; turbo charger together with First Engineer and Staff Chief Engineer.
Any concerns to be addressed to Chief Engineer immediately.
- Check stock of scrubbers and associated equipment spare parts to ensure minimum requirements is kept at all times; - The Exhaust Gas Cleaning System Engineer will work closely with the First Engineer when scheduling maintenance works on the equipment assigned and/or if additional manpower is needed.
