RESPONSABLE DE PROGRAMME - (ASSISTANCE TECHNIQUE) - BÉNIN

Project Manager/ Chef De Mission - (Assistance Technique) - Infrastructure - Bénin We are partnering with a leading client to recruit a Chef De Mission for a significant infrastructure project in Benin.
This internationally funded initiative requires client approval and offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities.
The successful candidate will oversee the project management and execution of this infrastructure initiative, including.
Providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of the project.
Establishing and organizing the local office for the expert team.
Representing the client and coordinating with stakeholders, including the client, project owner, and other key parties.
Managing the project comprehensively, including overseeing a team of approximately 25+ experts distributed across multiple teams, ensuring effective mobilization, and monitoring the implementation of the engineer's work plan.
Delivering technical support to expert teams and stakeholders.
Ensuring quality and timeliness of all project reports, preparing contributions, and compiling inputs from other experts for client submission.
Validating and reviewing technical, environmental, and social studies, as well as the engineer's general schedule.
Driving project progress through the development and management of progress indicators, schedules, and deadlines, and facilitating steering committee activities.
Acting as a liaison between project teams, the engineer, and the client to address all technical and contractual matters.
Conducting quality control of deliverables and project outputs.
Supporting the client in the preparation of tender documents and consultation processes for contractors.
Required Qualifications.
To be considered for this role, candidates should demonstrate.
Fluency in French (professional working proficiency or higher).
A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's level preferred).
At least 20 years of professional experience in delivering infrastructure or transport projects.
Proven track record as a Chief of Mission or in a similar leadership role, particularly in Francophone Africa.
Comprehensive knowledge of international best practices in project planning, implementation, contract management, and monitoring.
Proficiency in multi-project program management tools.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams.
PMP certification is highly desirable.
