The R&D Engineer II will support the development of software products and related systems.
In this role, the R&D Engineer II will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish development objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the best possible performance and quality of the software to be delivered.
Design, implement and maintain software components which meet the requirements.
Maintain code quality and automatization.
Employs best practices and helps to maintain them through technical reviews.
Implement appropriate testing strategies.
Performs complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
Work in an agile environment.
Interact with project teams across applications and business units to address project requirements.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2 years’ experience, MS with 1 years’ experience or PhD.
Understanding of software design and development methodologies.
Strong Python experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Git and MS Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills Good understanding of software architecture patterns and principles.
Knowledge of Web architecture and Web API such as RESTful or gRPC.
Experience with Software Development LifeCycle processes, including testing and DevOps practices.
Experience with ANSYS or any other related CAE tool.
Experience with frontend technologies such as Python Dash, Angular or React.
Knowledge of Agile methods.
Must have passion and drive for personal technical excellence and high performance.
Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team.
