About the role You will be at the forefront of delivering superior solutions for our brands, leveraging your expertise in surface chemistry science, including surface interactions, surfactants, and polymers.
It’s important to develop a profound understanding of product development processes and cultivate a robust scientific network among premier academic institutions and technological collaborators.
Your adeptness in people management will further enhance our team’s capabilities.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in supporting patent applications and overseeing the intellectual property landscape in surface chemistry, thereby safeguarding Reckitt’s innovative and proprietary technologies for the future.
Your responsibilities Your primary duties will encompass overseeing a research and development project within the domain of surface science.
This will include.
Conceptualizing and conducting experiments to produce vital data that will drive the project forward Establishing a cutting-edge surface chemistry science capability and advancing a consumer-centric technology pipeline utilizing high performance chemistry (e.
., surfactants, and performance polymers) for applications on textiles, dishware, and hard surfaces Engaging with the surface science community, forging connections with top-tier scientists, external partners, startups, and academic and scientific institutions Cultivating strategic relationships within Reckitt, including R&D, Supply, Procurement, Quality, Marketing, and more, to drive innovation and collaboration Fostering a culture of intense curiosity and a drive to explore new frontiers in surface science Contributing to patent analysis and technology assessments within Surface Science to protect and advance innovations.
The experience we're looking for PhD in Surface Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or related area Preferably 1-2 years’ experience as Post doctoral researcher in the area Some experience with computational chemistry (e.
..
