POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the daily servicing and cleaning for all departments on a prompt and professional basis, and in accordance with the company’s highest standards as outlined.
To provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
DIMENSIONS Must be able to provide efficient cleaning and service for the island, which includes all guests’ areas and offices/department as outlined in the essential functions NATURE AND SCOPE Through daily cleaning, provides frequent contact and service to guests in a warm, friendly and polite manner at all times and under all circumstances.
The incumbent must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment; also, must be able to adjust to changes in schedules, assignments and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Create an impression of welcome and preparation • Attend pre/post shift communications meetings • Responsible for the cleanliness of all work areas and any equipment used • Cleans mirrors, chrome, glass, windows, window ledges, and other shinning surfaces • Collects all trash and removes it clean and sanitizes the trash bins.
• Chemical caddy is neatly stocked, items are properly labeled, and the caddy is never left unattended • Spot checks walls and floors for marks • Ensures the restrooms smell properly.
Uses air freshener daily or an atomizer to eliminate “odors”.
• When not in use, equipment must be correctly stored; caddies, buckets, dusters, brooms, mops and cleaning rags.
• Re-stocking of all paper products as needed • Re-stocking of all amenities as needed, including the soap/lotion dispensers.
• Air vents cleaned, and work areas properly dusted • Cleaning & sanitizing of shower heads and faucets in section.
• Cleaning & sanitizing of drains, toilet brush and holders • Ensures preset par level of stock is maintained.
• Responsible for requesting linen and towels from the Main Laundry.
• Assist with prompt laundry service as needed • Handles guest complaints and strives for early guest recovery.
• Reports any lost items immediately to the Supervisor or Security • Deliver guest requests.
(Service must be provided within 15 minutes, or guest must be informed of any delay in service.) • Reports guest complaints and comments and the action taken to rectify the problem.
• Controls costs by reducing waste.
• Daily service includes the immediate reporting of any maintenance required to a supervisor.
• Responsible for keeping informed of all activities and locations throughout the island in order to answer guest inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Notify security of any suspicious activity and hazardous situations • Notify supervisor of any maintenance issues • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed.
The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
• Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
• May be required to transport guests or equipment in an 8-person golf cart QUALIFICATIONS • Intermediate to Advanced verbal and written level of English is required EDUCATION • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Positions may require repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down stairs and lifting more than 25 pounds.
• Work within different temperature changes—indoors to outdoors.
• Able to pass basic safety course.
• Independent and can work with minimal supervision • This is a minimal description of duties.
Other work requirements may be necessary and assigned as business or maritime law dictates.
