Gartner is looking for a detail-oriented IT Project Manager to support the delivery of Technical Services to Gartner Conferences.  The Project Manager will manage our conference delivery processes including, but not limited to, Conferences Technology resource planning and allocations, Conference Technology financials and reporting metrics capturing the health of our Conferences Technology.  This person will collaborate with our Global Portfolio Lead, our Technical Leadership, Global technical teams and our Conference and Finance business partners.
This role is accountable for the planning, execution and timely delivery of these processes and their detailed outputs.  Conference Technology resource planning, reporting, metrics tracking, and technology financials (forecast and actuals) require accuracy and attention to detail.  This candidate should have experience managing projects and detailed data driven analysis and reporting, preferably in the financial, engineering or technical services area.
Candidate should have experience managing deliverables in a fast-paced agile environment.
  What you will do.
Plan, manage and execute projects and processes supporting our Conferences Technology operations and initiatives.  Accountable for fostering an environment of collaboration and high impact results.
Resource Coordination and Travel planning; Oversee Global Conferences Technology planning ensuring accurate input and updates into relevant tools and processes throughout the conference season Communications and Compliance; Manage detailed communications regarding travel processes, timelines, T&E processes and support teams while ensuring compliance with corporate policies Reporting and Data Analysis; Generate insightful reports and conduct detailed analysis on Conferences technology resource travel allocations, expenses and key performance metrics.
Technology Cost Management and Financial analysis assist in managing and tracking Conference technology costs, including forecast and actuals while supporting processes that feed into our cost of technology dashboard.  Participate in efforts to evolve this tool and supporting processes.
Reporting and Data Analysis regarding Conferences technology incidents.
Gather incident data from relevant tools and perform analysis to determine trends, risk areas and provide insights to team leadership Innovation and Continuous improvement; Embrace flexibility and actively engage in new initiatives, contributing to a culture of innovation and process improvement Team Leadership & Culture:  Foster a positive working culture with a “one team” mindset, supporting teammates through challenges and providing leadership through change Process adoption; As we evolve our processes support and guide team members in their adoption of these processes What you will need.
Detail oriented professional with 2-4 years’ experience in project management.  The candidate should have strong data analysis, quantitative skills along with high ownership and accountability.
       Must have.
2-4 years’ experience in project management ideally in a financial, engineering or technology environment Demonstrated project management skills from conception to completion, with ability to prioritize ensuring timelines are met Proficiency in data gathering, analysis, pivots and insights Proficiency in tools such as PBI, Microsoft suite specifically Excel, Pivot tables and PowerPoint, Jira, Service Now Experience working with cost management and generating reporting around costs Demonstrated team skills - communication, collaboration, task management & influencing – experience working with matrixed teams in a dynamic, growth environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables Client-first mindset - ability to understand, influence and manage the expectations of clients, team members, management and external groups Who you are.
Four-year degree (Computer Science, Business, Finance or related functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience Strong organization and communication skills Detail oriented individual with focus on accuracy and defining efficient processes Proactive self-starter excited by solving challenges who takes end-to-end ownership of problems Critical thinker, with ability to learn beyond formal training; strong aptitude for delivering quality products Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organization Comfortable with change and demonstrates a no-limits mindset Don’t meet every single requirement?
