For the project "Biodiversity Monitoring South Tyrol" (BMS) and related projects we invite applications for the position of a Project Assistant.
The ideal candidate has experiences in drafting reports, organizing of scientific events and public relations, managing budgets for European or local-scale funded project.
BMS is an ongoing survey of biodiversity that serves as basic research, but it is also intended to provide a scientific base for political decisions concerning spatial planning, agriculture, and nature conservation.
BMS surveys animal and plant groups that react sensitively to climate and/or land-use changes, at habitat and landscape level.

The position also involves supporting other biodiversity-related projects.
the project SpeciesMonitoring is a collaboration project with the Nature Conservation Office of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen dealing with the surveillance of EU Directive animal species, WildBees is a project dealing with wild bees in BMS grassland sites.
Tasks.
Purchases management in close cooperation with the Team Assistants of Institute for Alpine Environment Correspondence with landlords of monitored sites Support of budgeting, yearly planning and valorizing of the projects Management of data agreements requests from external users Organization of driving and collection permits for field activities Supporting the maintenance of the project web appearance including web sites and social media platforms, es.
X, Instagramm Support in planning and organizing project related public and scientific events Support in elaboration of technical reports Requirements.
Education in communication science and/or project-management (Matura/Bachelor/Master degree) Excellent German writing and talking skills Good skills in Italian and English Organization skills, ability to work efficiently Excellent skills with MS Excel and MS Office Experiences with web sites and social media Basic knowledge in and/or interest for biodiversity Good interpersonal and collaborative skills to integrate in a working group and to interact with researchers and local stakeholders.
