PRODUCT OWNER, HOME (PLATFORM) (M/F/X)

To strengthen our Product Development team, we have an immediate opening for a Product Owner, HOME (platform) (m/f/x) YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Own and represent the best interests of the HOME platform across the organisation – creating deliverable system designs, best practises, dealing with customer escalations, supporting proof of concepts and product demonstrations (where required) Work with Lawo’s customers and clients to understand and anticipate their needs then translate them into clearly defined product requirements Define and refine the product vision for the HOME platform Create and maintain a product roadmap based on the Lawo corporate vision – working with the Senior Director for Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions and the Lawo CTO Office Manage the product backlog and prioritise accordingly based on market and customer requirements Oversee all stages of the product creation process including design, development, and market introduction Develop and manage user stories – communicate clearly with all stakeholders in the respective research and development (R&D) departments Create and maintain product documentation – manuals, release notes, technical briefs Monitor, evaluate and co-ordinate product progress at each stage gate of the process Participate in Scrum and Sprint meetings Strive for customer excellence (positive product / market feedback), commercial success (well defined and market accepted products) and avoid waste across the organisation (repetition of research and development effort) YOUR PROFILE Minimum of three (3) year’s experience in a technical product management or engineering role Education in IT, broadcast, audio, video, electrical engineering, or related field Must have demonstratable experience of capturing customer requirements, documenting and processing them into clearly defined engineering requirements Shall have experience of release build processes whilst understanding and embracing agile planning methods Network and IT knowledge essential. IP systems and standards knowledge a must – SMPTE ST2110, Ravenna, AES67, Dante, NMOS, NDI, SRT, WebRTC Experience and practical knowledge of security, virtualisation, containerisation and cloud technologies – VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform Experience of configuring and using different operating systems – Linux, Windows, macOS Knowledge and experience with the Lawo portfolio of products and their associated workflows desirable Must have a passion for technology and the ability to self-learn and take on new technologies and products Experience in a customer-facing role required – including representing the ‘ voice of the customer ’ within the Lawo organisation Structured way of working and solving problems – including managing product and technical aspects of customer related escalations Strong verbal and written communication skills essential Capable of presenting technical whitepapers and best-practices at customer and key industry events Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work unsupervised Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business (greater than 50%) Attendance at international tradeshows and events is a must – National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) Fluent in spoken and written business English. German is an advantage Experience of the following software tools is a must – Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office 365. Target Process and Bugzilla is an advantage.
