The Product Operations Manager is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the product development lifecycle. You will work with a team of 40+ product, design, solutions consultants and user experience experts to improve OGI’s products and services. As the Product Operations Manager, you will act as the glue that holds the product team together, streamlining processes, implementing tools, and fostering a culture of collaboration. You will act as an ambassador of change and new ways of working – relentlessly focusing on improving execution and delivery of our business goal. Taking on the challenge of evolving the departments processes, standards, workflows, tools, and documentation to drive efficiency, the Product Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring the department is working smarter. This role will be responsible for helping us create a well-oiled product management function that delivers high value product to our customers, today and into the future. Your key responsibilities Process Optimisation Identify areas for improvement in the product development lifecycle (ideation, planning, execution, launch) Identify potential risks and challenges in product development processes and collaborate with teams to mitigate these risks Develop and implement repeatable processes for key product activities Standardize workflows across product, engineering, and customer success teams Maintain and update product development documentation Influence our agile culture and embed our ways of working Tool Management Research, evaluate, and implement product management tools (roadmapping, prototyping, user research) Develop best practices and training materials for product management tools Ensure smooth integrations between product management tools and other systems Evangelise product management tools within the team, and the wider business to ensure clarity and understanding throughout the organisation Data & Analytics Collaborate with product managers to define and track key product metrics Manage operational scorecard for the product development team and ensure we are tracking against objectives Report on key product metrics and foster focus on delivering business goals Collect and analyse product usage data, user feedback, and market research Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for product strategy and roadmap Stakeholder Management Facilitate communication and collaboration between product, engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams Manage product launch processes and cross-functional dependencies Continuous Improvement Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in product operations Identify and implement new tools and processes to improve product development efficiency Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the product team Qualifications BA/BS Degree and relevant professional experience Experience Minimum 5 years of experience working in product management, consulting, or in an operational capacity (Enterprise SaaS focused) Product management / road mapping tools proficiency (e.g. Craft / Prod Plan / Product Board / Product Plan) Navigating ambiguity and evolving needs in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment Significant software Product Development experience – particularly SaaS Designing and delivering processes within a medium-large organization Establishing honest, open, and authentic relationships with colleagues Experience optimizing product development processes Proven expertise defining stakeholder requirements Making data-driven decisions Skills and Aptitudes Commercially savvy Customer-centric mindset Excellent coordination and collaboration Strong analytical, data collection and analysis abilities Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix environment Ability to understand a challenge, experiment, and solve it A “creative analyst” who can span both “left-brained” and “right-brained” audiences Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development (CI/CD), DevOps, and related SDLC models A track record of effectively working remotely with a globally dispersed team across multiple cultures, time zones and cities Mission and Values Our mission is to be both the Technology Partner and Employer of choice for the UK General Insurance Market.
